Historic Covington

Covington, Georgia is a lovely place to visit. Most of the old homes around the city square are ante-bellum and escaped Sherman's fire. Also, all of the Newton County records survived which make it nice for the genealogist researching ancestors. It is worth a visit just to get the "feel" of the olden days.  Newton County Wills and probate records are available to members of Georgia Pioneers
